7 out of 10 tobacco users want to quit and just need some extra support to be successful. Letting tobacco users in your life know about the counselling and medication options available to help them reduce or quit can be a big help.
If someone is not ready to quit, encourage them to be a safer smoker by:
- Smoking outside;
- Keeping vehicles smoke-free; and
- Not smoking near pregnant women and children.
